Analysis Of Cloud Painter By Jane Flanders - 911 Words

Poems are short stories that have a meaning behind them without revealing them in obvious ways. Although some are confusing and may use a different style there are a few that present the same message even if they are written by a different poet. â€Å"Cloud Painter† written by Jane Flanders uses the clouds and the life around the earth to help the reader picture the true meaning of the poem. Robert Frosts poem by the name of â€Å"Nothing Gold Can Stay† also takes the nature route to convey the point of his poems words and meanings. In Frosts poem, he uses the garden of Eden to help the reader to imagine where this idea is heading. In the first sentence Frost states that â€Å"Natures first green is gold† this represents the very first blooming†¦show more content†¦Ã¢â‚¬Å"In any case, the literal forms give way to something spectral, nameless. His palette shrinks to gray, blue, white–the colors of charity.† This line represents the change in the world that leads to everything falling apart limiting the options available to just a few. â€Å"Horizons sink and fade, trees draw back till they are little more than frames, then they too disappear.† As the painter’s palette fades so does his paintings meaning that the wonderful things that are taken advantage of also can disappear without leaving a trace of its presence? Frost offers that same idea when he simply says, â€Å"Then leaf subsides to leaf† to represent the beauty of the world slowly fading once again. The objects that are valued the most are often the ones that later drift away as they become old and go out of style so then they are forgotten and soon fade from memory. â€Å"So, Eden sank to grief, so dawn goes down to day† Think of the beginning of the day when the sun is just rising or just sitting there is so much beauty there, but as it fades into daylight the image loses its beauty without ever returning the same day. Waking up i n the morning and seeing the sun just rising brings relaxation and makes one think of all the ups and downs in life and how everything has taken its toll. These poems bring into
